Associate Director, Leadership Programs will be responsible for directing, guiding, leading, and developing the University of Dayton Center for Leadership (UDCL) Assistant Director(s), Leadership Programs who have direct responsibility for a variety of leadership development cohorts and individual programs.
The Associate Director, Leadership Programs is responsible for the management and oversight of the design and delivery of 200+ high-quality leadership development programs and certificate programs through the University of Dayton Center for Leadership (UDCL) for executives, emerging leaders, supervisors, women leaders, professionals, and/ or individual customized clients, including but not limited to needs assessment and curriculum design; identification, selection, negotiation, and feedback of program facilitation; program participant recruitment; program logistics, measurement and evaluation; assessment feedback; delivering training programs; and budget management.
The Associate Director, Leadership Programs should be able to strategically collaborate with colleagues and clients to design and deliver organizational and various leadership-level consulting and coaching services to small, medium and large corporations, government, educational, and not for profit organizations. The Associate Director will also be responsible for the management and recruitment of their own variety of programs and/or certificate program(s) that are offered through the UDCL.
The Associate Director should demonstrate experience building strong relationships with leaders at all levels, including senior level executives and key stakeholders, and previous experience with new business development. Candidate should demonstrate strong problem solving and reasoning skills, and be self-motivated and independent, but able to team with a group of other talented individuals to deliver high quality programs and services to clients.

Minimum Qualifications: |
• Bachelor’s degree, along with five (5) years of relevant experience OR ten (10) years of relevant experience in business, education, or leadership. • Five (5) years of training and organizational development experience in a corporate or in an educational environment. • Experience supervising a team. • Experience in directing, guiding, and leading others in leadership development program delivery. • Experience identifying, negotiating, hiring and preparing, and delivering feedback and coaching to facilitators who teach programs. • Experience designing and deploying ongoing keynote, one-day, and multi-day leadership development curriculum for adult professionals. • Experience in identifying, selecting, and working with leadership assessments, along with providing coaching and development plans for a broad range of leaders. • Experience in facilitating leadership development programs. • Experience in business development/client acquisition and retention. • Successful experience in customer service with both internal and external clients. • Proven commitment to operational excellence and attention to detail. • Experience managing details and follow-up for multiple programs/projects simultaneously, and be accountable for deadlines. • Experience working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and virtual platforms (i.e. Zoom, Teams, etc). • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Valid driver's license, ability to maintain a low risk driving record and be insured by the university.

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
• Master’s Degree or PhD. in business, education, or leadership. • Organizational development and/or training and development consulting experience. • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial office environment. • Executive coaching, mentoring, or performance coaching experience. • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and reasoning skills. • Meeting facilitation experience. • Knowledge of business finance with experience managing a department/unit budget or profit and loss center. • Demonstrated experience working, interacting, and communicating with senior-level executives. • Demonstrated experience delivering timely and transparent written and verbal/interpersonal communication. • Demonstrated experience learning new technology, including databases, such as Salesforce, software applications, web-based applications, and Adobe Suites; experience with registration systems, such as Cvent, is a plus. • Certification in leadership assessments and/or training programs. • Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities. • Personal character and values that support the University of Dayton's mission, vision, and values as a Catholic Marianist institution.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
