The Bookstore Coordinator will manage all labors involved in the compliance of the semester driven textbook cycle at the University of Dayton Bookstore. This includes receiving and entering course adoptions, ordering and pricing textbooks, organizing and directing quarterly textbook inventories, overseeing textbook buybacks and textbook returns to vendors. Textbook Supervisor will also perform opening and closing store duties, administer daily student supervision and discipline, organize and maintain all adoption information and correspondence for the academic year and oversee special department programs. Other duties include, but are not limited to representation as a textbook contact between the bookstore and department textbook coordinators across the University, reconciling chargebacks with credit memos received, contacting publishers regarding overdue credits and return authorization requests, and assisting Course Materials Manager in any other textbook department needs .

Minimum Qualifications: |
High school graduate or GED required. Computer literacy required with advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office programs. Customer service oriented in demanding situations required. Must be well-organized, detail oriented, and multi-task oriented. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Ability to work with diverse customer groups (Students, Parents, Faculty, & Staff). Available to work evenings and weekends as required. Valid driver's license with low risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications: |
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Two or four year degree preferred. Work experience in a retail environment preferred. Experience working with Point of Sale retail system and/or inventory database management system preferred.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
