Position Summary:

Join the Housing and Residence Life team as a Residence Life Student Support Coordinator! This is a full-time, exempt, 12 month, live-on position responsible for coordinating all aspects of student support and intervention in the residence halls, suites and apartments in a highly residential setting.

The Residence Life Student Support Coordinator is responsible for serving as primary referral resource for students needing follow-up support in the residential community. In concert with the University's Mission and Housing and Residence Life's Vision for Residential Learning, the Residence Life Student Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting students to live in community, navigate conflict, and will assist students in their understanding of and commitment to leading and serving their community in the Catholic Marianist tradition, while living a life on campus that is discernibly consistent with Catholic teaching and ideals (although the person need not be a practicing Catholic). Due to the nature of the position, accessibility is required. Additional employment is not permitted.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree
Experience working with an increasingly diverse campus community
Experience responding to and managing emergency situations
Evidence of strong written skills
Knowledge of Google Suites, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Must be able and willing to work weekends and evenings

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Master’s degree in Counseling, College Student Personnel, Higher Education or a related field
Demonstrated experience facilitating conflict resolution or restorative justice processes
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing staff development and training sessions
Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, to set priorities and to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance
Evidence of strong analytical skills
Evidence of strong problem-solving skills
Evidence of strong verbal communication skills
Evidence of strong organizational skills
Evidence of strong interpersonal skills
Familiarity with and value for Catholic Higher Education
