Position Summary: The Premedical Programs office support provides administrative assistance to the program director, the associate program director and other the program faculty advisors; must possess a greater depth and administrative breadth of knowledge for the Premedical Programs; must be able to make decisions with the day to day running of the office.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Three or more years of professional administrative office support experience; Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel; Ability to plan and organize work in observance of deadlines; Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses; Experience handling purchase requests; Demonstrated ability to protect and maintain confidential information; Demonstrated successful professional experience with event planning; Demonstrated ability to learn new computer software/systems; Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to read and write using appropriate grammar, punctuation and spelling

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a college or university academic office;
Professional experience with medical and dental school application processes and tracking;
Experience with room scheduling software;
Familiarity with University of Dayton academic structures, procedures, and policies;
Experience with Gmail; Experience with Google calendaring and google docs;
Experience with Banner self service; Experience with Cognos IT reporting;
Expressed willingness to engage with Catholic and Marianist educational values;
Excellent oral communication skills; Effective interpersonal skills;
Professional experience supervising and delegating work to others;
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively, respectfully, and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and other constituents within and beyond the university in a professional manner;
Able to be self directed, exhibit critical thinking, and be able to make independent judgments and decisions;
Experience proof reading documents;
Experience with Cascade web content management system.
