Position Summary:

UDRI is seeking a motivated, fast learner for their Associate System Administrator position. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Server/PC hardware and virtualization, backups, and user and group management. This position will report to the Sr System Analyst and Architect and be a part of the UDRI Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for maintaining high availability of business-critical systems, this includes but is not limited to Backup and Disaster Recovery, Security, Maintenance and Upgrades, and Monitoring and Performance Tuning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execute backups, file restorations, tape rotations as well as perform restoration tests to ensure Disaster Recovery plan validity.
• Administer creation, maintenance, and decommission of Hyper-V virtual machines.
• Build tools, scripts, and documentation for continuous service improvements.
• Perform administration of Microsoft’s Configuration Manager (SCCM) to deploy standardized OS Builds, Patches, and Applications.
• Assist in Office 365 / Azure / Exchange Online administrative tasks.
• Analyze and correlate logs, perform root analyses, and recognize patterns.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate plus four years of relevant experience (diverse, progressive administrative) and training, OR an associate degree plus two years of relevant experience and training, OR a Bachelor's and no previous experience required.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience administering Microsoft O365 or experience with patching software solutions
• Active Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• Experience with PowerShell scripting and modules
• Experience with Jira Administration
• Experience with CMMC 2.0 or NIST 800-171 compliance
• Experience with SCCM
