Position Summary: Performs semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems. Such work will involve preventive maintenance of the building and associated equipment. Position involves overseeing inventory and responding to building alarm systems.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED.
Two (2) years general knowledge/skills of the following:
– minor electrical
– minor HVAC
– analyzing/troubleshooting office building alarms
- minor plumbing – minor carpentry
– minor repair of doors/windows, including hardware
– painting, including minor wall repair
– general building maintenance
Two years’ experience working with automation systems.
Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Valid driver’s license and be insurable by the University, which includes maintaining a low risk driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Three years’ experience in commercial office and research lab maintenance.
Current licensed boiler operator.
Current licensed electrician.
